Red dress diva

For years it seems like people have been shy of the red dress. The red dress has symbolized being naughty or a vixen, think back to the film” Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” Jessica Rabbit in her long red dress and purple gloves. She was a vixen and the red dress symbolized that. Or when Rhett Butler told Scarlett to “play the part”,making her wear a bright red dress to Ashley’s birthday. You know the dress was to show everyone she was in trouble for being “promiscuous. These are just some of the ways the poor red dress has been misinterpreted, until Julia Roberts wore that red dress in Pretty Woman. Even still today many women are afraid of this gorgeous hued dress. I’m not exactly sure why, ladies can wear neon pants(shudder) but, they can’t wear a cute red dress. Am I missing something?

They say every lady should own one, and the designers may be right.  The lbd, can be the one item in a woman's closet that is a constant go to. The thought, "I have to be somewhere and no clue what to wear" comes to mind a lot. It is so simple,grab black dress, get shoes on, and depending where I am going what bag to bring.  It is a great piece that is forever stylish and never will go out of fashion. Once only a color worn by widows and funerals attendees, it is now a dress for any occasion. So get your Louboutins ready and your cocktails shaken, it is time for some little black dress fun!

Ok, I love the collar on this dress. I can think of a million shoes or bags to go with this. The great thing about this dress is there is not a lot of need for coupious ammounts of jewelry. Just some simple studs and your done! I want this dress.

The perfect date night

I so desperately want to take my hubby to a restaurant he has never been too. Get dressed up and go have a great time. In fact I know which restaurant I would take him to. Fishbones, is an amazing restaurant with a fabulous menu. It is a bit on the pricey side but, worth a splurge. Try the macadamia crusted fish, you can't go wrong.  I even know what I would wear, or what I would LIKE to wear.

Yeah, that would be it. Ahhh, but this is something that will have to wait. Wait along with the restaurant and the wine I would want to consume there. (Future thinking) Date nights will become a luxury or a scarcity,babies tend to do that. The impending thought of it makes me want to go on a no baby date before the little ninja arrives. However, my issue right now may prohibit that notion. Gift card to Cheesecake Factory or not, we will be shackled to the house waiting. Until, the day comes where we can.

fashion mama, brunch.

 I have.  been thinking about what I am going to get after things settle down. When I can replace some of my clothes. I'm thinking a  cute shirt dresses for some great spring time fun. And they look comfortable, I am serious in saying I will NOT succumb to frumpty dumpty style. I could right now, but I wont. I still get dressed and do my hair(somewhat). I am trying to let my hair breath and not be tortured for a bit by my straightner.  I put together a great look that I can dream about wearing.

I love this outfit! I love the colors and just how much fun it is. Who said you can't follow the season's hottest trends when you feel like a bowling ball carrier. No one! Well, except maybe a few people. People that try to bring down a preggers confidence down, by saying it is a waste of money. I am sorry, but I am over justifying why I bought the clothes for my pregnancy as I have. And I am certainly not alone. I try to understand why some ladies hatematernity clothes. "I will never wear those ugly maternity clothes, I will stay in my regular stuff until I have to". Meanwhile, I am looking down at myself going, um, what is wrong with this? Nothing but compliments on my end. Oh well, perhaps it is that ugly beast rearing its head of horrible clothes long since gone.
But, designers have heard the plea, the cry for help. For God's sake we want stuff that fits well and looks good! Let us not go backwards let's go forwards, who is with me?! After all you don't  want to have this again, do you??

Resort wear.ohhh I wish

With the cover up on and with those Gucci heels,book the cruise! Even just with the swimsuit,bag,and sandals I would just feel fabulous. I know there is more to resort wear than just swimwear, but after being in the hospital and now on bed rest all I can think about is of course my baby,but also a nice extended stay at the Portifino Orlando. If only, ahhh, if only.

Dress and shoe collector

So, Whenever I go out with friends I love to wear awesome shoes. I wear heels a lot, whenever there is an excuse to wear them. Most of my shoes are really high, but then I am short. I find they are cute shoes, platforms make me feel less height challenged. But it is not all about the shoes it is about anything I wear. When I am dressed casual I am being told I am too dressy. How is a simple cotton shirt dress too dressy? Sure I am wearing black heels with it and adorable accessories but to me it was casual. When you wear a uniform every day you tend to want to wear more cute clothes on off time. Don't get me wrong I have sweat pant and t-shirt days. I love dressing well and feeling good about it!

I have discovered a new habit, buying dresses. Just like my purse and shoe obsession I now have a dress obsession. They are so easy to wear, so easy to pair things with. You can dress them up or down (just like a good pair of jeans) For the summer its great, because you do not have to layer a million things and wonder if those shorts match this shirt. Dresses are light, comfortable and great for the heat. So, I am going to put some cute dresses, purses and shoes here! I will also post direct links to the sites.
