Pencil Skirt loves!

What is it about pencil skirts that I just love? Is it the stylish and glamorous look of it, where the skirt can take a regular shirt and turn it into a work of art? Is it the simplicity of the skirt? Or, perhaps it is the traditional feel of the look. When paired with the right shoes, jewelry, bag, and make up this piece of clothing can make you feel like a sophisticated lady, or a sexy fashionesta. Who said a skirt had to be above the knee to be considered sexy or “hot”? This skirt is not the skirt of yesteryear.

I love Burberry! Whenever I see their ads or would walk by a store carrying this line, I would just want to touch everything and look. Their coats and bags are always a classic hit, and yet while so high fashion, their clothing and accessories are so simple. I want this skirt!

These skirts are so simple and basic, it is no wonder why they are a staple in many women’s closets. Certainly was one of mine(just not right now). Professional women or the stay at home mom, I do believe these skirts will stick around for a long time, just with some modern updates here and there.

 I have.  been thinking about what I am going to get after things settle down. When I can replace some of my clothes. I'm thinking a  cute shirt dresses for some great spring time fun. And they look comfortable, I am serious in saying I will NOT succumb to frumpty dumpty style. I could right now, but I wont. I still get dressed and do my hair(somewhat). I am trying to let my hair breath and not be tortured for a bit by my straightner.  I put together a great look that I can dream about wearing.

Fashion mama

I am thinking about clothes I want to wear again after the baby comes. I think about what I want to wear that is new. I think about what hair and makeup, shoes, and dresses. I also can't wait to see the baby and what I will wear home. You know the pink dress in my baby shower post? Yea that's the dress. But, I just dream of a new wardrobe, new hair, new baby, new home, and new perspective on life. I just think about the what ifs and what I want. Fashion wise and everything in between.
I know your body changes so much after baby, I can't wait to see what I can get to fit my new curves.

I love this outfit! I love the colors and just how much fun it is. Who said you can't follow the season's hottest trends when you feel like a bowling ball carrier. No one! Well, except maybe a few people. People that try to bring down a preggers confidence down, by saying it is a waste of money. I am sorry, but I am over justifying why I bought the clothes for my pregnancy as I have. And I am certainly not alone. I try to understand why some ladies hatematernity clothes. "I will never wear those ugly maternity clothes, I will stay in my regular stuff until I have to". Meanwhile, I am looking down at myself going, um, what is wrong with this? Nothing but compliments on my end. Oh well, perhaps it is that ugly beast rearing its head of horrible clothes long since gone.
But, designers have heard the plea, the cry for help. For God's sake we want stuff that fits well and looks good! Let us not go backwards let's go forwards, who is with me?! After all you don't  want to have this again, do you??

spring look for day!!

Oh spring is around the corner and that comes with a new look, or updated part of the house. It also means spring cleaning and a new lease on life for the year. A way to start off fresh with a new wardrobe with some of the great looks of the season.
I just love this lime peplum dress by Badgley Miscka and the little bag by Marc Jacobs, along with the embossed leather sandals by Prada. Makes a great outfit for a nice spring or even summer day. Get out of the greys and blacks and put on your flirty florals with vibrant accents.
I love it and can not wait to get back into those clothes!!

Resort wear.ohhh I wish

With the cover up on and with those Gucci heels,book the cruise! Even just with the swimsuit,bag,and sandals I would just feel fabulous. I know there is more to resort wear than just swimwear, but after being in the hospital and now on bed rest all I can think about is of course my baby,but also a nice extended stay at the Portifino Orlando. If only, ahhh, if only.

Long over due.

Wow, the last time I posted here was in 2011, ever since I got my own blog weppage.  I have neglected this one. I still focus on fashion, but I have also changed my gears to helping others save money in general. I figure this blog will help the other and since both are the same blog, just different in platforms, what could be the harm?
A new bag same ol bag lady...
So, today I ordered my Oscar De La Renta bag, figured it would be a great piece for the spring. I need a new Coach bag, but I got a beautiful diaper bag from my hubby for Chrismas. But I need something for non baby time too.
Back to my original thought, I got a bag from the Target Neiman Marcus line today. At  first I was not sure about getting it, but decided to. I mean for $17 do you blame me? It was originally $59.99, released after Thanksgiving, this bag is better suited for the summer and spring than winter. Also, if you get it be aware it is not made of leather. The bag is made of canvas, if it had been leather can you imagine how much Target would have to price it for. OUCH.

Also I learned this morning if you see something on sale and you want to get it, get it!!!! The graco swing i wanted was regular priced again, craptastic. Oh well, we live and learn.

Fall!

So fall is around the corner, slowly creeping up and waiting to strike parents with out them knowing! It is the time of year when shops start to fill up of parents trying to find good deals, crabby children who do not want to go back to school, college students, and the poor souls trapped in the middle. Ahhhhh back to school shopping how fun.

I was at Old Navy yesterday and WOW what a nightmare that was. People pushing by each other while trying to remain in control of their children. There was not nearly enough employees and it was way too crowded! Target was the same, over crowded lots of people in one spot, it was like Christmas only with out the lights, music, somewhat good cheer. I thought to myself wow this is crazy, and there has to be a way out of it!

Yup there is, online school shopping! There is no hassle of everyone and their mother being at the same place as you. You can be at home and your kids will be ok with it, especially if they hate shopping! Ahhh shopping online is nice and relaxing. There is no wasted gas from driving from the "bad" mall to the "good" one. Also, it is great to get a package in the mail that is fun to open and feel like your birthday or Christmas.

I looked around and found some great deals for Back to school and well just in general. I am all about being fashionable and saving money. At home

So, it is my day off and I am just sitting around the house not doing much of anything. I really have no where to go to, and was not planning on leaving the house. What do I wear, I hear my friends say they just walk around in their pj's all day and do not change out of that. I have other friends that say they put on something else like sweatpants or something. Me? I wear whatever.
Now I do change out of my pjs when I am home all day. To me if I wear my pjs all day then I feel more lazy and do not feel like moving around. I become a slug and get glued to the couch.

Through out the week I'll be in the usual uniform, scrubs. Now granted while not always physically appealing to the opposite sex, they are comfy. If you shop right you can find some cute scrubs. I posted some I thought looked nice here

But when you wear a uniform every day all day you tend to want to wear something fun on you days off of work. I like to dress in cute clothes even if I know I will be staying home. The reason for this is you never know who will "pop in" to see you and it feels great to wear something different. It is a nice self esteem booster to wear something nice and feel good in.

But shoes when you are at home? Do you go sans shoes and just walk around barefoot? Or do you go the nine yards and wear cute shoes? Do you just forgo the shoes that would match the outfit you are wearing or do you just stick to flip flops? Me? Well it depends on what mood I'm in to wear what shoe. I love shoes we all know this but when I am at home I wear mostly flats or flip flops. I have pets so nothing is worse than walking around in a cute pair of plats and you trip over the dog. OUCH. But there are times where I just want to wear heels like a cute pair of BCBG; I wear sneakers all the time.

shoes to love

I have been thinking of what to write about now, hit a writers block or whatever you want to call it. And then it dawned on me while I was trying on a cute pair of nude platform heels at Target,write about these shoes! I was super excited about how cute these shoes were. I mean wow, who would have thought that a plain old pair of patent leather nude pumps would make you feel just awesome. They made me feel so "put together", I had been shopping for a cute dress for Easter and a wedding next month and found it! YAY. An adorable little turquoise dress that had pockets. Fit like a glove and I loved it! This was after trying on a cute pink baby doll dress and realized things just don't fit like they used to. Well, I needed shoes to go with it. I didn't want to do black cause well duh that's so obvious to do, or someone mentioned white. But,white just didn't seem like well what I needed. white would have just looked...um too Eastery? Or, they would have stood out much more than the black shoes. I walked with my friend around the isles and thought omg, nude shoes. I read somewhere that nude shoes look great with bright outfits and they can sometimes make you look taller. Hey, I am all for looking taller. So, I found some that I thought to try on and sure enough they made me feel amazing. Purse wars

It's a never ending battle between good and evil here. It's the never ending purse battle, you have to many, you need to clean house blah blah, etc. Well, ok,maybe. I have gone through my purses and I think I will be getting rid of the ones I just dont use anymore or forgot I had. Yard sale time or ebay. I will promptly replace them with something better hahaha. I went through my shoes and got rid of ones I no longer wear, or can wear. Which is good. This falls right into the spring cleaning thing, right? I would say New years thing start off fresh, but its you know March. So, yeah spring cleaning. Perfect! Now if I could just clean the pantry like I do the closet all will be good for me...but that's a work in progress. I like my snacks.But I did find some ideas to replace what I am getting rid of and they are reasonable priced shoes and purses.
